About Ladycliff
Ladycliff, a
Catholic residential College for women, was founded in 1933 by the Franciscan
Sisters of Peekskill. The College was located in Highland Falls, NY, on the west
bank of the Hudson River about 50 miles north of New York City on property
adjacent to the United States Military Academy at West Point. A vibrant,
interactive College by the 1970s, Ladycliff was forced to close in 1980 for
financial reasons. Two thousand six hundred sixty-one women graduated from
Ladycliff. An additional three thousand students enrolled as non-matriculated
students through the years.
